Hello, my name is Alexandra (Alex) Duranczyk, the new SRSLY Manchester Coalition Director. I am so honored to be a part of your community. I am looking forward to meeting everyone and working with SRSLY to continue making and creating goals to expand youth substance use prevention in the community.
I grew up and lived in Stockbridge for a majority of my life. I still have family in Chelsea, and worked in Manchester at the Moveable Feast Catering Company. This area and the surrounding communities are very near and dear to my heart. I graduated from Eastern Michigan University with my Bachelors degree in Social Work and have been involved in
the field for three years through volunteering at Growing Hope in Ypsilanti, interning at the Autism Collaborative Center, and working at Interfaith Hospitality Network at Alpha House. I held a position at IHN at Alpha House as Volunteer Specialist for two years; and I am very passionate about working with the community, creating volunteer-oriented goals, and serving youth.
Thank you to the volunteers who have stayed engaged during this transition. We appreciate your understanding and support and I am excited to keep moving forward with you. Thank you to Katie for being here during this transition and to Lindsay for building the foundation for SRSLY in Manchester. Thank you to Reiley (SRSLY Regional Director) for
supporting the Manchester Coalition and being here through this transition - I am grateful and ready to be a part of this team. These three staff members have ensured that the organization has continued to be engaged and positive as we move forward. It is truly a privilege to be able to step in and be a part of this continuation and to see how SRSLY
Manchester will continue to make positive outcomes within the community. SRSLY Manchester volunteers are amazing; I am excited for the events coming up this year and collaborating together on them. I couldn’t think of a better group to be joining, and I want to thank you for welcoming me to this team.
