The Safe Homes List was adopted as a new intervention for the SRSLY Manchester Coalition in response to local conditions that increase risk factors associated with youth alcohol and drug use.
What is a SRSLY Safe Home?
A SRSLY Safe Home is a home in which the family has committed to providing a safe and substance-free environment for their children and any other youth who spend time there. Kids and adults can be confident that minors under the age of 21 will not be offered or allowed to use drugs or alcohol while they are in these families’ homes. The Safe Homes List is a record of all the families who have made this commitment.
“A common myth that I’ve heard is that if you’re an adult and you drink alcohol in your home you can’t be on the Safe Home list. That’s totally not true”, says Lindsay Hannah, SRSLY Manchester's Coalition Director. “Adults can join the list as long as they don’t allow minors to drink in the home.”
How to sign-up
The SRSLY Safe Homes list currently lives online at srslymanchester.org/safe-homes. Families can sign up by emailing Lindsay Hannah at email@example.com or directly on the website.

Wow! SRSLY Manchester volunteers have given 3037 hours of their time to help prevent youth substance use! This includes 53 adults and 179 youth!
Volunteers have given their time to meetings, grant writing and review, fun family friendly events like the Haunted High School and Variety Show, Project Sticker Shock, Public Service Announcements, Conferences, and disseminating information around the community.
The 16th Annual Variety Show has come to a close today. This year could not have gone better. We had 20 amazing acts. Each year the talent out of Manchester blows me away. If you didn't get a chance to see what our middle schoolers had to offer, NO SWEAT, check out the YouTube Video below.
There are a number of people and organizations we want to thank. First a huge thank you to the SRSLY Manchester youth volunteers who comprosed the Stage Crew! They were the backbone of the show and we wouldn’t have been able to do it without them. A super special special thank you to our Stage Manager Jacob Mann (8th grade) for whipping everyone into shape, including Ms. Hannah! Jacob has a talent for leadership that’s for sure. Another gigantic thank you to our adult volunteers, including Mr. Betz, who taught us a lot about stage crew, performing, and being an Emcee. Also, thank you Small Town Sounds and specifically Andy Galicki for making the show come to life with grade A equipment and direction for performers!
We would also like to thank Manchester’s Civic Club, AND the local and state Lions Club for their donations! We wouldn’t be able to do these type of events without the support of our community groups.
AND lastly thank you to everyone who came out and watched our show!
